Rabbi Yehuda Leib Groner ע"ה began his Special relationship as a young thirteen-year-old boy, in the year 5704 (1944).
It was the year of mourning for the Rebbe’s father Reb Levi Yitzchak זצ"ל. The Rebbe would daven first thing in the morning with the younger bochurim’s minyan in 770. Young Yehuda Leib would make sure that at least six of the boys would be ready to begin Hodu at the proper time. It wouldn’t be fitting for the Rebbe’s son-in-law to waste even one second of his precious time.
Rabbi Groner’s connection with the Rebbe continued to strengthen and develop and by 5709, he was working as the Rebbe’s assistant. After the Frierdiker Rebbe passed away (5710 - 1950), Rabbi Groner began serving as the Rebbe’s personal secretary, a position he held for a full forty-five years.
Over the years, Rabbi Groner shared many wondrous, and incredible stories, miracles that he had seen with his own eyes. These memories offered the Chassidim a unique glimpse into what occurred in the Rebbe’s room.
When Rabbi Y. L. Groner passed away, we decided to preserve these memories, and present them along with pictures in a comic book form so they can be easily read and enjoyed.

The art displayed on the cover of the book which you hold in your hands, is just a small example of the careful detailed work the artist has put into this very special collection.
It is our hope that by reading the stories in this book, it will awaken within you a desire to see the Rebbe with your own eyes, with the Geulah, may it be speedily in our days!
